Happy Valentine's Day

I hope your Valentine's Day was as spectacular as ours. Our grandchildren adorned us with candy and cards. How yummy. Hubby gave me a heart shaped garnet necklace. I love hearts. They remind me of us and the love we have for each other. Which brings me to the 2 hearts I designed in 2007. What is interesting about these designs are the beads were added while tatting the heart. The beads were not added to the shuttle. The other thing is the ring at the bottom of round 2 one was added while doing round 2 and the other was added in round 3. Have you ever noticed where and when you add a ring, will determine the appearance of your piece? The heart on the left has a more rounded look because the ring was added in round 2, while the heart on the right has a more pointed look at the end because I added the ring while doing round 3.

I will be adding the pattern to my tatting patterns page. With my new digital camera I do not need to write out tatting patterns anymore because the pictures are clear enough to count the stitches. What a life saver.
Enjoy the rest of your evening.
