One World One Heart

Hi, I am Icela and welcome to my world of tatting and greeting card making.  I hale from the great state of  Rhode Island and went southern 31 years ago to Columbia, SC where the living is easy.  I am fortunate to have a husband the makes all my dreams come true from traveling to giving up racing so I could realize my dream of racing cars in the local arena.  I love to make my own clothes and do anything crafty.  These days I spend my days gardening and taking care of the wildlife in my yard.  My yard is a registered wild life habitat.  Besides all of these things my favorite pastimes these days are tatting and making greeting cards.

For drawing #1, I am giving away a tatted bracelet made with gold lined beads and glass pearls.  It measures 8 inches long from tip to tip including the clasp.

For drawing #2, I am giving away a set of 4 of my handmade greeting cards and envelopes.

The OWOH giveaway is open to all worldwide bloggers, so leave a comment so I can visit your blog and have a way to contact you if you win one of my prizes.

I will announce the winners on 2/17/11 before 7:00 p.m. and I will post the winners on my blog.

  6. Your bracelet is amazing! I have just learned to tat (since Christmas) and found that I have had to do needle tatting as shuttle tatting just gives me fits!!! I'm sure it would be easier if I had someone locally to teach me, but alas, I don't know of anyone. Anyways, lovely to meet you and find your blog!

  126. So lovely to meet you Icela! My hubster loves to go fishing in RI, we are in NJ, and want to head south to the carolinas as well. We want to be rural yet within an hour of hospitals and such. We also need to be in a low cost of living area. any helpful ideas?

My mom used to tat as a child with her grandmother, at my last viewing of her sewing basket, she still had her shuttle, but does not know how to do it anymore, she is 84. I have nothing that either her or my Great grandmother tatted, so winning your bracelet would be very special to me. Which BTW it is gorgeous!! I like your cards also. I am a follower. Please include me in your draw and come visit me #209.
    thanks, Susan

Your tatted bracelet is beautiful - I've managed some tatting using a needle, but the shuttle eludes me - thought I do have one that I thought I might try again with. It's takes such skill! Please feel welcome to visit my giveaway for OWOH too.
