Meagan's 2010 SC State Fair Entry

This is Meagan's entry to the SC State Fair, what an awesome job this child of 11 years old did on her own, without any help from me.  I did not see it until the fair.
Congratulations Meagan for a job well done!

  3. Fabulous job, Meagan! This is such an impressive piece! I was astonished to learn your age!

How wonderful to share this needlecraft with your Grandmother! I was about your age when I tried to learn to tat from a book. Back in the 1950's there were few who knew how to tat, and the books just weren't easy to understand. I learned to knit and crochet from a book at your age, but had to wait to learn to tat until I was 45, the first time I saw anyone actually use a shuttle!

You are already an accomplished tatter, and you will go far with your skill and talent!
