I do not put web links on my blog for two simple reasons.
1. I don't want to monitor the links to make sure they are still active
2. Since this is my blog, I feel like I should be able to present my blog how I want it presented and not how other people want me to present it.
If I use your pattern I do give your name, a web search with your name will find all your links. To me that is sufficient and the most current way.

I see no problem with that. Some people are better at googling than others so you might have more people emailing to ask for a link, but you shouldn't feel obligated to post them.
ReplyDeleteI don't do buttons or badges to other blogs. I don't want my blog filled up with stuff like that. I have more than enough links as it is and it annoys me to feel like I'm being asked to advertise for someone. My blog is for fun, not business, but that's just my preference. Many people enjoy "collecting" badges/buttons from other sites.
