2nd Workbasket Flower Pattern

Well I lied, I couldn't sleep so i finished the sunflower I was working on from the October 1990 iss ue of The Workbasket Magazine. This is a neat flower because you can do the center in different colors to represent different types of flowers. You can also leave off round 6 to create a smaller flower. The design was by Mary H. McCarthy. She used the design to decorate a linen towel for a basket. I would rework round six and instead of doing chains that looked like rings I would do an actual ring instead. I will have to try that to see what it looks like. Even a SCMR might be even better.

  2. I agree, using a different colour centre would change the flower totally, another versatile pattern!
